What si Nasco Wine? – wine tour in Cagliari (Sardinan wine tour)

After spend so many years in to the US market with winemaker, I learnt so many things. My recent tour in Sardinia, I learnt to love Nasco Wine from very exclusive variety Nasco Grapes. Usually, whenever you think about this grape, you always think to Sardinia. Today I want to share with you my tasting note about Nasco Wine. Nasco is an ancient white grape variety exclusively on Italy’s second largest Island Sardinia. It is light skinned grapes that permitted to produce world’s most exclusive wine called Nasco wine.  In the 19th century, it primarily grown around or outside the Cagliari, the capital city of Sardinia. But, today there are less than 40 hectors of Nasco exist.

Talking about Nasco is also mean that talking about Sardinia’s most famed wines. It is easy to pair with many different dishes, from fresh spicy cheeses to sliced meat, and seafood. It is also perfect with Chocolate ricotta cream with wild honey, risottos, omelets and mushrooms. In short, it is really an excellent companion of for the everyday table.

Nasco wines – special wine that you can taste during a wine tour in Cagliari (Sardinia)

Italy is responsible for finest wine wines in the world. Nasco wines are sweeter and higher in alcohol and these are very aromatic with aroma of grapes. It contains alcohol strength between 17% to 20% by volume.

Nasco grapes are very indigenous grapes especially use to produce an amber-golden-yellow color for an excellent desert wine which is very good if served cold, as aperitif with spicy cheese.  These wines always give some olfactory impressions with affable taste. I know and I believe that most of people dislike the wine because it gives you a bitter taste, but according to me Nasco will always give you a great experience. And if you like wine as much as I do then you should put Nasco wine on your favorite list.
